Jim Dietz

Co-Founder, Director Emeritus and Recruitment Specialist

In 2021, Jim Dietz completed his final season at the helm of the Lincoln Land volleyball program. He has surpassed 500 career college wins and is the winningest coach in LLCC history.  The Loggers have been a Region Runner-up nine times and Region Champions five times, reaching the National Title Game twice.  From 2014-2019, Dietz served as a USAV High Performance Coach, both as an evaluator for both the boys’ and girls’ programs and as a coach.  Dietz has coached all ages of teams and helped found two clubs, Crossroads Volleyball in Effingham and Capital Area Volleyball in Springfield while also coaching for Fierce VBC and Twin City VBC.

 

Dietz has thirty years of experience as an instructor and coach at the high school and college levels and has published two coaching textbooks: “The Human Side of Coaching” and “Like Heck She Doesn’t Look Like a Volleyball Player. ” Dietz is married to the former Julie Tresnak. They have three adult children and three dogs (Kaiju, Jaeger, and Spike).
