Amber Stephens has been coaching high school and Jr. high school athletes at area schools since 2003, including Southeast High School, Jefferson Middle School, Chatham High School and Jr. High School, as well as Tri-City High School and Jr. High School. She played on the first Ambush Volleyball Club (now a part of Capital Area) team in 2002 and coached for the club beginning in 2003 at the grade school level. She played 2 years at the Jr. College level at Springfield College in Illinois, serving as team captain in 2003.  Stephens began coaching with Capital Area Volleyball in 2013.  This is her twentieth year involved in some fashion with coaching youth volleyball.  Stephens works full time for Levi, Ray, and Shoup, and is married to her husband, Michael. They have four active young children. Abi is a soccer loving goalkeeper who loves her CAVC family.  Hayden is a wrestler, and Boy-Scout. Andrew enjoys baseball, and Mia is a having a blast learning to play soccer and volleyball. They also have 2 cats (Dakota and Molly), 3 guinea pigs (Brownie, Biscuit, & Krystal), an African Side-Necked Turtle (Ned) and Rudy – an amazing four-year old terrier mix pup! Amber has been with CAVC for 9 years.
